Pain and suffering are universal. Is there any hope or comfort for us in difficult times? Together we'll take a closer look at pain and suffering from God's point of view and discover why they happen--and what God promises to those who endure such hardships.

Galatians 5:16-26 list 9 characteristics known as the Fruit of the Spirit. During this study, we'll examine each and think about how our lives are supposed to demonstrate this Christ-like qualities.

What does "justification" mean? It's a word the Bible uses often, and we've probably heard it before, but how should we understand it? During this two-part study we'll break it down and first look at our need for justification and then examine God's means of justification.

The resurrection of Christ is the single most important event in human history and the most critical component of all that Christians believe. As we celebrate Easter, we'll look at some of the evidences for the resurrection and also talk about the effects of the resurrection in this age and the one to come.

For the month of March, we'll be looking at four more of your questions, and seeing how the Bible answers them! They are:

As one of the most well-known stories of the Bible, what can Jonah teach us about the Gospel? Well, it turns out there is a great deal we can learn about God and His mercy from this tiny book! Join us as we seek to uncover God's message to us from the book of Jonah.

This four-week, church-wide series will take a closer look at the various roles and responsibilities within the family--both biological and spiritual. We'll see what God's Word says about family life and how we can glorify God by the way we live with one another.

This one-week lesson examines the Biblical idea of adoption, showing how a person goes from simply being one of God's creation to becoming one of His children. We will also discuss the benefits of being one of God's children, both in this life and in the age to come.

This four-part series will look at each of the names given to the Messiah in Isaiah 9:6 -- Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace -- and see how each one applies to Jesus Christ as we prepare our hearts to celebrate His birth at Christmas.

It's time for our sixth question, and this one has to do with how much (if at all) Santa Claus should factor into the way we celebrate Christmas. We'll examine both sides of the discussion and seek to discern a Christ-honoring way of celebrating Christmas.

It's time for our fifth question, and this one concerns the celebration of Halloween. How should Christians participate in this holiday -- or should they participate at all? We'll look at the origins and customs of Halloween and use the principles of Scripture as we explore this issue together.

Located in Greece, the city of Thessalonica was visited by Paul on one of his missionary journeys and a church was started in that community. Sometime later, Paul wrote back to this young church to remind them that Christ will return. See how this promise is meant to both comfort and convict Christians as we await our Lord's glorious appearing!

It's time for our fourth question, and this one concerns the Trinity. Does the Bible teach that God is one? If so, how can there be three persons? Beyond that, why does it matter? We'll look at what the Scripture says about the Trinity as we explore this issue together.

The third question in our ongoing series addressed what role (if any) Christians should have in government. Are civil issues compatible with church ones? We'll look at what the Scripture says about the role and responsibility of Christians in government as we explore this issue together.

How should Christians react to what we see or hear on the news? We'll take one week to examine two recent news stories and explore the ways we should think about current events from a Christ-centered point of view.

What happens beyond our final breath? This four-week series, part of our church-wide Super Sunday School, will explore death, the intermediate state, hell, and heaven from a Biblical perspective. We'll see what God has revealed and debunk some common misconceptions. 

The second part of our new, ongoing series! You ask the questions, and together we search for the answers! This time the question is: Are people born gay? We'll look at what the Scripture says about homosexuality and personal responsibility for sin as we explore this issue together.

As amazing as it is to consider, the Almighty Creator of the universe has revealed Himself to us! This three-part study will explore how God shows us who He is through the Scripture, and how that timeless truth should affect every area of our lives. (Led by: Brian Elliott)

Split into six weeks, this Christmas-based series looked at some key passages from the New Testament to reveal how the birth of Christ brought us grace and truth, came in the fullness of God's time, and revealed the supremacy of God's Son. (Led by: Jason Coates, Mike Houston, Seth Worrell)

After a few weeks off, we moved back to 1 John for the conclusion of our study. During our time in this letter, we saw how John referred to God as light, life, and love. We also learned the importance of fellowship, discernment, and the confidence we can have before the throne of God thanks to Jesus Christ!

This church-wide series gave us a four-week break from 1 John as we met with all the other Sunday School classes to discuss the God-ordained roles of men and women.

This careful study of the book of 1 John lasted 19 weeks (not including a break in July)! During our time in this letter, we saw how John referred to God as light, life, and love. We also learned the importance of fellowship, discernment, and the confidence we can have before the throne of God thanks to Jesus Christ!

This study, based on 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, showed us how God makes his appeal through us. We also looked at several other passages that gave us some practical insight into how to share the message of Christ with others.

Through the years, God has made several promises to people like Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, and even Jesus. This series showed us what God promised his people, and revealed why we can truth him to keep his word.

Over four weeks we looked at each Gospel writer's account of the resurrection of Christ. Some details are different, but the overwhelming truth is the same: Jesus is alive!
