Church in Pinedale, Wyoming. While there, the team helped host a Vacation
Bible School for children in the community.

Parkwood sent a team of 13 to work with Journey
Church, a new church plant in West
Chester, a suburb of Philadelphia. During their week, the
team was able to assist the church in
upkeep of the church building, including painting and landscaping. The team
was also able to assist Journey with community events including a free movie
night, cleaning a community ballpark, and picking up trash from the
neighborhood.

Parkwood
sent a team of 13 to work with Clarkston International Bible Church in the
outskirts of the greater Atlanta area. During their week in Georgia, this
team held a Summer Day Camp (which included Vacation Bible School) for
children from cultures all around the globe. The group was able to eat in
the homes of refugee families and meet people from the ends of the
earth.

Due
to the extent of the devastation caused by hurricanes in the fall of 2005,
Parkwood sent another mission team to the battered New Orleans region. A team of
9 worked with
volunteers from other churches and alongside the Samaritan's Purse organization to help clean
out flooded homes and remove debris.

The first mission trip of 2006 was in response
to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, which ravaged the Gulf Coast
in September 2005. A team of 4 went from Parkwood and spent a week
cleaning out debris and damaged homes in New Orleans. They joined with
several other volunteers through the Samaritan's Purse organization.

2005's short-range trip was to Dixon, KY, a little
south of Owensboro. A team of 14 led in the preaching and singing at
four revival services for First Baptist Church, Dixon (Friday PM, Saturday
PM, and Sunday AM + PM). On Friday, the team passed out flyers in the
community, and on Saturday morning, the team held a one-day children's
event.

The 2005 long-range trip was to south Texas, near the
Mexican border. A team of 13 went to help a newly-started fellowship, Journey Church, hold their
first-ever Vacation Bible School, and 17 children were on hand during the
week-long "Serengeti Trek" event. The
team also spent some of their time handing out promotional flyers in the surrounding community to advertise the
new church.

The short-range mission trip in 2004 was to
Alexandria, KY, located in northern Kentucky, several miles south of
Cincinnati, OH. A team of 12 helped a regional food and clothes closet
organize and sort donated items, as well as transition their facilities for
the fall/winter seasons. They also helped Main Street Baptist Church with
construction of a new facility by removing debris and sweeping.

In 2004, it was decided to offer the church two
missions opportunities:
a long-range trip, and a short-range trip to
accommodate younger children and families. The long-range trip was to
Seattle, Washington. A team of 11 helped Sound Life Church reach out to
its community through Fun Fairs aimed at children, passing out flyers,
and prayer-walking around parts of the city.

The first of the Global Outreach trips was to the
northeast part of the United States. A team of 18 went to help New Colony
Baptist Church with a Vacation Bible School. The VBS had a theme of "SCUBA"
and was held in the mornings. 80 different children attended during the
week. During the afternoons, the team helped a local food distribution
center sort donated items, and did clean-up work at a shelter house for
battered and abused women.
